I just got a new computer. Well, kind of. Actually I inherited my little brother's computer. And he probably got the computer used. But whatever. It's new for me.
The point being, a computer made in 2003 is remarkably faster than one made in 1997. (Yes, I know that a more factors than age play into the speed of computers, but still.)
In fact, this computer actually loads DA pages in less than a minute! and other pages in only a few seconds! And there's no delay in typing. AND I bet I could listen to music on youtube or pandora and read through emails and IM someone all at the same time without causing my computer to run so slowly you can see the page being refreshed from the top down whenever I switch between tabs. oh, and it probably won't do that annoying thing where the computer decides I was trying to grab and drag the tabs when I click on one and move the mouse away. That was always annoying, and took a few minutes to resolve.
Anyway, as a result of this, I may be more apparently active on DA, as I can do more in 5-10 minutes than wait for the pages to load. (slight exaggeration. But only slight.) Hence, this journal.
However, someone whose name shall not be here mentioned has gotten me to agree to watch the entirety of Neon Evangelion or some thing like that over the weekend. (I'm even less up to date on TV/Movies/Manga/whatever it is than I am with computers) So I probably don't expect much from me on DA short term. Actually, just don't bother expecting anything from me at all.. that way when I actually get off my lazy bum (on my lazy bum?) to check out DA you all can be surprised. Or ignore me. Whichever works for you
